Freelance Site Manager – New Build Apartment Project

About the role

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced freelance Site Manager to lead a new‑build apartment development in Swansea. The role starts immediately and runs for an initial twelve‑month period, with the possibility of extension through to the end of 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring health, safety and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site personnel to maintain project timelines.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any variances.
• Manage site budgets, cost control and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and client specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects.
• Strong contracting background with the ability to manage multiple trades.
• Availability to start immediately and commit to a 12‑month contract.

Required skills

• CSCS certification.
• SMSTS certification.
• First Aid certification.
