Full Stack Developer (Backend Focus)

About the role

Outserve is seeking a pragmatic Full Stack Developer with a strong backend bias to help build and maintain the integrations that power e‑commerce accounting and inventory automation. You will work primarily on server‑side architecture, APIs and data pipelines while also supporting front‑end work when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs and databases.
• Build and sustain integrations between e‑commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon) and accounting/inventory systems such as Xero and Unleashed.
• Deploy, monitor and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
• Write clean, secure, well‑tested code and contribute to the full software development lifecycle.
• Support front‑end development to ensure seamless UI‑backend interaction.
• Troubleshoot and improve live production systems, applying security best practices.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) as a productivity enhancer.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and engage directly with clients to translate requirements.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in backend development, preferably with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to design and maintain RESTful APIs and data integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with relational and/or non‑relational databases.
• Practical knowledge of cloud services (AWS and/or Azure).
• Comfortable working in an agile environment and communicating technical concepts to clients.
