Groundworker – Construction Site

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Groundworker to join our construction team in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire area. The successful candidate will support site operations, carrying out a range of groundwork tasks while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform excavation and trenching works.
• Install drainage systems, ducts and other utilities.
• Lay kerbs, paving and carry out concrete works.
• Operate small plant and machinery where qualified.
• Assist with site preparation and reinstatement.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Groundworker.
• Valid CSCS Card (essential).
• CPCS/NPORS plant tickets (desirable).
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and follow site drawings and instructions.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
