About the role

We are looking for a motivated HLTA, Early Career Teacher (ECT) or experienced teacher to join a small, outstanding primary school in the Wigan area. The position is full‑time, based in the Reception/EYFS class and starts in September. It offers a supportive environment with strong staffing ratios, allowing you to gain valuable EYFS experience while contributing to a nurturing community.

Key responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering the Reception curriculum and daily routines.
Assist with planning and delivering outdoor learning, creative activities and wellbeing initiatives.
Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for young children.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Required profile

Previous experience in Reception or EYFS is preferred.
Passionate about early years education and child development.
Reliable, enthusiastic and nurturing in approach.
Available to start in September.
