Industry Placement Adviser

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Industry Placement Adviser to work on a fixed‑term basis until July 2027. Based at our Slough & Langley College campus, you will spend 30 hours a week linking construction employers with our students, ensuring they gain high‑quality on‑site placements that meet curriculum standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with construction firms, regularly visiting sites to discuss placement opportunities.
• Match students with appropriate on‑site placements, preparing them for the workplace and monitoring progress against course requirements.
• Promote the college’s programmes to industry partners and act as the primary liaison between employers and the education team.

Required profile

• Experience in practical trades, site management or subcontracting (e.g., site supervisor, tradesperson, team leader).
• Passion for mentoring young people and helping them start their construction careers.
• Full manual driving licence for use of college vehicles.
