Interim Financial Controller – Luxury Retail

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing luxury retail brand, is seeking an ambitious Interim Financial Controller to lead a finance team and drive performance, financial control and sustainable growth. This role offers high visibility and the chance to influence strategic decisions in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of four professionals.
• Own month‑end, year‑end, management reporting and audit processes.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance across UK and US operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation and ERP enhancements.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidations, tax and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• 4–5 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Commercially minded with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Experience in retail, luxury, founder‑led or PE‑backed businesses is a plus.

What we offer

• £80,000 per annum.
• 12‑month contract with the possibility of a permanent role.
• Hybrid working model (3 days in the London office).
