Lecturer – Foundation Courses (Special Educational Needs)

About the role
Bath College is seeking a dedicated Lecturer to deliver foundation‑level learning programmes for learners with a range of special educational needs, disabilities and social, emotional and mental health issues. You will be responsible for high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment to support learners’ progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver life‑skills, employability, functional maths and English programmes at Entry Level 1‑3 and Level 1.
- Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
- Maintain accurate records of formative and summative assessments.
- Communicate examination entry details and timetables to the curriculum and support team and to learners as required.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTL or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience teaching learners with special educational needs and/or mental health concerns is desirable.
