Logistics Manager

About the role

This is a senior, full‑time Logistics Manager position based in Witham, South East England. You will own a diverse logistics operation, driving performance, cost optimisation and supplier management across warehousing, transport and third‑party logistics providers. The role offers high visibility and the chance to shape strategy, influence decisions and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all logistics activities, including transport, warehousing and third‑party logistics operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3PL providers, transport partners and suppliers, ensuring performance against agreed service levels.
• Own logistics budgets and P&L, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities while maintaining service quality.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects, delivering measurable cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Drive logistics transformation initiatives such as supplier transitions, process improvements and network optimisation.
• Create reporting and KPI frameworks to improve visibility of performance, costs and service delivery.
• Ensure robust inventory control and maintain stock accuracy.
• Promote health, safety and compliance standards across all logistics activities.
• Act as escalation point for operational challenges.
