Management Accountant

About the role

Malaberg is a fast‑growing UK‑based brand house that builds and scales direct‑to‑consumer beauty and wellness brands. We are looking for a curious, analytical Management Accountant to join our Finance team in London and support day‑to‑day financial operations across multiple brands.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Support consolidated group reporting across several entities.
• Maintain accurate records of accruals, pre‑payments and fixed assets.
• Handle the full reporting cycle – stock, payroll, journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and inter‑company transactions.
• Identify and implement improvements to accuracy and processes as the business scales.
• Analyse P&L drivers to inform decision‑making across the organisation.
• Prepare detailed breakdowns for ad‑hoc reporting requests from finance leadership.
• Assist with audits, VAT returns and readiness for international expansion.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Part‑qualified or actively studying ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Enthusiastic about working closely with founders in a start‑up environment.

Required skills

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
