Marketing Director – Global University Systems

About the role

Global University Systems (GUS), an international network of higher education institutions, is looking for an experienced Marketing Director to take its brands, marketing capability and commercial impact to the next level. The role is based in London (Buchanan House, EC1N 2HS) and is hybrid and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Assess what is working and what is not, then develop bold strategies that create measurable commercial and brand growth
• Challenge existing ways of working and build a clear vision for where the brands need to go next
• Turn strategy into action and ensure marketing genuinely moves the business forward
• Lead the development of distinctive brands, defining positioning and brand identities
• Create campaigns that change perceptions and build emotional connections, and tell the stories of the institutions and the impact of education

Required profile

• Significant senior marketing leadership experience, ideally transforming brands and marketing functions on a global scale
• Evidence of delivering measurable commercial and brand growth
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams
• Strong commercial instincts and confidence working with and influencing senior leadership
• Background may come from education, consumer brands, technology, media or digital businesses
