Marketing Manager - FTC (FMCG Drinks)

About the role

The Advocate Group is recruiting, on behalf of an established FMCG business, an experienced Marketing Manager for a 6-month FTC / interim assignment in Wheatley, Oxfordshire. The role takes ownership of a high-profile brand development project, combining strategic brand thinking with hands-on execution. Immediate or short-notice availability is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a consumer brand project, shaping its positioning, marketing strategy and commercial development.
• Use consumer and shopper insights to strengthen the brand proposition and drive consumer engagement.
• Bring creative thinking to brand communications, packaging, digital marketing and activation.
• Work with external creative agencies to develop brand assets, campaigns and marketing initiatives.
• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy with commercial teams to drive retail engagement and growth.
• Lead cross-functional project delivery, managing timelines, milestones and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and present recommendations to influence decisions.

Required profile

• Strong background in brand, commercial or trade marketing within FMCG, with experience in consumer brand development.
• Proven experience leading brand launches, shaping brand strategy and delivering marketing initiatives.
• Creative, consumer-led approach to turning insights into engaging brand propositions.
• Understanding of brand performance, P&L and route-to-market strategies.
• Ability to independently lead cross-functional initiatives through to execution.
