Multi Skilled Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Electrician to join our Property Maintenance and Construction Department, based in Ashington or Spennymoor. You will deliver high‑quality electrical and damp‑related repairs to both domestic and commercial properties while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, including damp‑associated electrical work.
• Perform multi‑skilled repairs across a range of property types.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Interact professionally with customers and other stakeholders.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Bernicia, promoting our services within the community.
• Contribute ideas to improve the customer experience and service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in domestic and commercial property maintenance.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Flexible approach and willingness to adapt to new ways of working.
• Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds certification in electrical installation.

Required skills

• Electrical repairs and installation.
• Damp‑related electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of building construction components, materials and regulations.
• Proficient use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
