Night Maintenance Engineer

About the role

A Night Maintenance Engineer is required to support a high‑volume manufacturing site operating 24/7. Working the night shift (11 pm‑7 am), you will ensure the reliability of production equipment through maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery.
• Perform reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability.
• Support multiple production lines, B2B vessels and cooking vessels.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and use CMMS for work orders.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience.
• Minimum City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 engineering qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with automated production lines and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience using CMMS systems and producing engineering documentation.
