Part‑time Caretaker – Gateshead

About the role

Robertson Group is seeking a reliable Part‑time Caretaker to join its facilities management team at the South Shore Road site in Gateshead. You will work Monday to Friday, 14:00‑18:00, delivering a high standard of building upkeep and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain security, access, health and safety procedures across the facility.
• Carry out routine cleaning, litter picking, snow clearance and grit as required.
• Perform minor repairs, maintenance tasks and emergency cleaning duties.
• Manage delivery, storage and inventory of materials and supplies.
• Undertake porterage and grounds‑keeping duties.
• Monitor delegated budgets, process cash and cheque transactions.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning, lifting and outdoor tasks.
• Reliability and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Basic maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Familiarity with health‑ and‑safety standards.
• Experience handling cash or financial records.
