Project Manager – Complex Infrastructure (Hybrid)

About the role

Babcock is seeking a Project Manager to lead a portfolio of high‑value, complex infrastructure projects at the HMNB Clyde Faslane site. You will oversee projects from business case development through to handover, ensuring they support national security and operational capability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure projects in line with recognised lifecycle standards, from concept to completion.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate project briefs, technical designs and tender processes.
• Monitor contractor performance to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Lead project governance, risk management and handover activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction or engineering infrastructure projects in a complex environment.
• Experience applying standard forms of contract such as NEC4 or JCT.
• Ability to lead design teams across lifecycle stages (e.g., RIBA Plan of Work).
• Competence with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
• Track record of controlling project budgets and meeting financial targets.
• Minimum HNC in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional membership (RICS, CIOB or similar) or working towards it; APM qualification desirable.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
