Quality Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a fast‑growing aerospace engineering business in Bristol. Working on a shift basis on the shop floor, you will ensure that high‑precision components meet strict conformance standards before they reach the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑off, in‑process and final inspections of aerospace components.
• Select and apply appropriate measurement strategies based on tolerance requirements.
• Program and operate Aberlink coordinate‑measuring machines (CMMs).
• Use optical measurement tools such as Keyence devices and shaft scanners.
• Complete PPAP/FAIR reports and maintain digital inspection records.
• Support calibration activities and ensure traceability to national standards.
• Raise non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and contribute to root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with a 9100‑qualified quality management system.

Required profile

• Proven experience inspecting aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with AS/EN/JISQ 9100 quality standards.
• Proactive, motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
