Quantity Surveyor – Specialist Contractor

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist joinery and carpentry contractor in Borehamwood. The role offers full ownership of the commercial lifecycle, from early cost planning to final account, supporting the delivery of multiple live schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project costs and ensure robust financial control throughout each project.
• Prepare, review and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost plans.
• Produce cost reports and forecasts for both commercial and residential projects.
• Collaborate closely with operational and site teams to support timely delivery.
• Monitor contract compliance and commercial processes.

Required profile

• 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction environment.
• Strong background in cost control, cost planning and cost reporting.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field (preferred).
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.

Required skills

• Bills of Quantities (BOQs) preparation and management.
• Proficiency with cost management software.
