Senior Accountant

About the role

LUCA FALONI is seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Kensington, London. You will own key accounting activities, support accurate financial reporting and help drive efficient finance operations in a fast‑growing international luxury fashion business.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash reporting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with other statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
• Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting.
• Partner with Retail, Operations, E‑commerce and other departments to provide financial guidance and analysis.
• Review and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support.

Required profile

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or in the final stages of qualification.
• Strong experience in financial or management accounting roles.
• Solid knowledge of month‑end processes, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting statutory reporting.
• Understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
