Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join a leading music‑industry finance function in London. Working hybrid (three days in the office), you will partner with major record labels, artists and an executive leadership team to shape financial strategy and drive transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and produce management accounts, board packs and financial reports.
• Manage statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and external audit engagements.
• Maintain balance‑sheet governance, reconciliations and working‑capital management.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal financial controls.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes.
• Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on distribution, transformation, people, projects and change.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team and deputise for the Finance Director when required.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid financial controller experience.
• Proven ability to operate in a visible leadership role and influence senior executives.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience working with external partners such as record labels.
