Senior Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities on a major utility‑scale energy project in Scotland. The role is fully site‑based for a 24‑month contract starting in July, overseeing construction delivery across multiple packages.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily site operations, ensuring safe and efficient progress in line with programme targets.
• Manage and coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical contractors.
• Enforce Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Monitor contractor performance, site progress and workmanship quality, resolving issues promptly.
• Facilitate interfaces between contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Provide regular progress, risk and delay updates to the wider project team.
• Lead site meetings, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Support the construction phase through commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on utility‑scale BESS projects.
• Strong background overseeing civil, mechanical and electrical works on large infrastructure or energy projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractor interfaces.
• Deep understanding of HSEQ procedures and construction sequencing.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site with long days (10+ hours).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
