Shift Manager

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead the Equipment Management operation supporting Morrisons in Erith. The role runs a 4‑on‑4‑off shift (06:00‑18:00) and focuses on recycling and re‑use of returned products and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the recycling operation, ensuring targets are met.
• Monitor headcount, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness to optimise resource utilisation.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture in line with company policies.
• Drive performance management, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Background in warehouse operational management.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Proven experience leading teams, providing coaching, mentoring and development plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
