Site Supervisor – Electrical & Mechanical Projects

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a qualified Site Supervisor (Scottish Power authorised) to lead on‑site activities across the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for delivering project phases—from start‑up through construction, erection, commissioning and maintenance—while ensuring cost‑effective execution, quality, schedule adherence, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate on‑site activities with the Project Manager, securing resources, equipment and milestones.
• Act as the primary on‑site representative, managing customer agreements, health and safety requirements, and site organization.
• Oversee the receipt, storage and installation of equipment and materials, reporting deliveries to logistics.
• Maintain up‑to‑date risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for each work package.
• Control site costs, monitor spend against forecasts and estimate final costs.
• Manage subcontractors to achieve required quality, progress and delivery dates.
• Report regularly on HSE, quality, progress and cost to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Scottish Power authorisation or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience coordinating large‑scale construction or grid integration projects.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.
