Social Content Creator

About the role

The Social Content Team at the John Lewis Partnership's London head office in Pimlico is looking for a Social Content Creator to produce highly engaging, social-first video content that drives engagement on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. You will work both with a team of strategists, producers and videographers and independently as a self-shooting editor, taking social ideas from concept to final cut. The role is permanent, pays up to £48K depending on experience, and is hybrid, with about three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end content creation with platform-native production, using in-app editing, text overlays and creator-focused tools
• Translate viral concepts into brand-aligned content, drawing on knowledge of internet subculture and emerging trends
• Capture clean footage on set with mobile videography and audio equipment, directing internal talent or appearing on camera with voiceovers
• Manage production timelines independently on location and write platform-tailored social copy

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Social Content Creator, TikTok/Reels Producer or running a successful personal or brand social channel
• A portfolio or showreel showing strategic thinking and social-first creative executions
• Desirable: quick-turnaround content for a retail, fashion, home or lifestyle brand

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including organic and paid nuances
• Ability to interpret social metrics and reporting to inform future creative work
