Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer (European Language Expert)

About the role

Amazon’s Alexa Global Quality team is looking for a senior quality assurance engineer who is fluent in one or more European languages (French, German, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, or Portuguese). You will own the end‑to‑end quality of Alexa+ across voice, text and visual modalities for millions of customers in more than 100 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive global test strategies for multilingual, multimodal experiences.
• Architect AI‑powered evaluation frameworks, including synthetic test generation, LLM‑as‑a‑Judge evaluation and visual validation.
• Run automated and manual test suites, monitor production trends and act to improve customer experience.
• Create metrics, dashboards and reports on quality status, technical operations and system performance across locales.
• Develop automation tools that increase test efficiency for a global organization.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, locale experts and business teams to ensure culturally relevant quality.

Required profile

• Fluency (speaking, reading, writing) in at least one of the listed European languages.
• Senior‑level experience in quality assurance for software products.
• Strong understanding of internationalisation (i18n) and cultural‑linguistic nuances.
• Ability to work both strategically and hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment.
