Supermarket Assistant – Seasonal Christmas Role

About the role

Join Waitrose as a Supermarket Assistant for the busy Christmas period, delivering partner‑led service and a passion for food to our customers. You’ll help keep the store running smoothly while ensuring a great shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Replenish stock to keep shelves full and products correctly placed.
• Prepare online orders for delivery and Click & Collect.
• Reduce waste by managing product dates and applying markdowns.
• Support checkout, on‑demand orders and other shop‑floor tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe, tidy working environment.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role is welcomed.
• Interest in current food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch during peak periods.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.00, rising to £13.25 after 90 days.
• Night premium of £3.75 per hour for shifts between 22:00‑06:00.
