Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our specialist educational environment in Colchester. Working closely with teachers, you will help create a positive, engaging learning experience for pupils, supporting their academic progress and wellbeing each day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support, small‑group work and one‑to‑one interventions to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, contributing to personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop differentiated activities and maintain effective learning resources.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour, ensuring an inclusive environment.
• Participate in school‑wide initiatives, professional development and continuous improvement projects.
