Technician in Painting & Decorating

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Painting & Decorating professional to support practical teaching within the Construction department at our Chippenham Campus. The role involves preparing workshops, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring students have access to industry‑standard resources in a modern educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare workshops, tools, equipment and materials for practical Painting & Decorating lessons.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop in line with industry standards.
• Support lecturers and students during practical sessions, ensuring resources are ready and equipment is used safely.
• Manage inventory of consumables and ensure health & safety compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in painting and decorating.
• Desire to share skills and support learners in an educational setting.
• Ability to work part‑time (30 hours per week) on a permanent basis.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
