About the role
We are looking for a Technician to provide proactive support for high‑quality curriculum delivery in Wood Occupations. You will maintain safe, fully equipped workshops, prepare materials efficiently and ensure tools and resources are ready for teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching staff and students across all aspects of the wood occupation curriculum.
- Prepare and organise materials efficiently to ensure lessons run smoothly.
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional workshop spaces.
- Monitor and maintain tools, equipment and machinery, reporting any faults promptly.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and promote best practice.
- Keep professional skills up to date and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Uphold the College’s values, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Undertake any other related duties as required.
Required profile
- Practical industrial experience within a wood‑related trade.
- Experience working effectively as part of a team.
- Awareness of Health & Safety at work.
- Ability to use email and access mandatory training via the ILT system.
- Understanding of Safeguarding and its importance within the College.
- Level 2 Wood‑related Trades qualification.
- GCSE Maths and English (grade 9‑4) or equivalent.
