M&A Associate – Deal Execution & Financial Modelling

About the role

Jefferies’ London‑based M&A team is seeking an Associate to support high‑touch, end‑to‑end execution of sponsor‑backed buy‑side and sell‑side transactions. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients, gaining hands‑on experience across complex, cross‑border deals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage workstreams throughout the M&A lifecycle, from pitch to closing.
• Prepare transaction documentation such as teasers, Confidential Information Memorandums, management presentations, and board materials.
• Build and review detailed financial models to evaluate valuation scenarios and assess financial impact.
• Conduct market, sector and company research to identify targets and support strategic recommendations.
• Interact with clients to gather information, understand objectives and support negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (legal, compliance, product groups) and external advisors (lawyers, accountants) to ensure seamless execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in M&A or investment banking.
• Strong analytical capability and commercial judgment.
• Excellent communication, presentation and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
