Electrician – Field Based, Full Time, Permanent

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join Mears Group’s field team in Tonbridge. The role focuses on void properties, delivering electrical inspections, rectifying defects and supporting kitchen upgrade projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and remediate C1/C2 defects.
• Perform inspection, testing and fault‑finding on domestic and social housing circuits.
• Wire new kitchen circuits and install or replace extraction fans.
• Provide responsive repairs and participate in the emergency call‑out rota.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets regulatory standards.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (including AM2).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or 17th Edition with progression).
• Full UK driving licence with a clean record.
• Previous experience in domestic or social housing environments.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality, compliant work.

Required skills

• Inspection and Testing 2391 (or equivalent 2394/2395).
• Electrical wiring and circuit installation.
• Extraction fan installation and replacement.
• Fault finding and remedial work.
