Hardware Test Engineer (6‑month contract)

About the role

OP, a globally recognised aerospace components and systems manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join its engineering team on a six‑month contract. The role focuses on testing and qualifying electrical components from a new supplier, as well as conducting a variety of mechanical tests across multiple product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical connectivity testing on new supplier components.
• Carry out temperature, fluid resistance and pressure tests on existing and new products.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, digital transducers and tensile test machines.
• Generate clear, accurate test reports and document findings.
• Provide feedback to design engineers and suggest improvements while ensuring compliance with aerospace codes and standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical and/or electrical testing, preferably in aerospace.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high‑quality documentation.
• Effective communication skills and experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Willingness to admit mistakes, seek support and adapt to changing priorities.
