Internal Growth Execution Apprentice 2027

About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, is recruiting for its Internal Growth Execution Apprenticeship Programme in London, starting in September 2027. The apprentice works in the Internal Growth team of an insurance broking business, collaborating with senior leaders and retail teams to help existing clients and grow the business. It is a strategic role, not an insurance broking position, and the apprentice joins on a permanent basis after an 18-month development programme.

Key responsibilities

• Use data to track activity, monitor progress and help the team understand what is working well.
• Support campaigns that encourage teams to identify and share opportunities for existing clients.
• Work with the marketing team to create engaging communications.
• Prepare clear presentations and updates for meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Take accurate notes in key meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
• Build insurance knowledge through formal learning and practical experience with colleagues.

Required profile

• No insurance experience needed; training is provided.
• Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK, having lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
• Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
• Not already holding a qualification that significantly overlaps with the apprenticeship.
• Curious, organised, creative and adaptable, comfortable with data and able to communicate with different people.
