Project Manager – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex reinforced‑concrete infrastructure projects within our Sellafield framework. You will act as the senior member of the project team, reporting to the Operations Director, and will drive both pre‑construction and construction phases in a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee timely execution and completion of pre‑construction and construction activities.
• Own project risks, identify opportunities, and champion continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide functional leadership across operational, engineering, technical, commercial and business‑support disciplines.
• Mentor and manage a diverse workforce spanning multiple construction‑related trades.
• Ensure compliance with NEC4 Option E contract terms and collaborative working models.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering complex reinforced‑concrete structures.
• Experience with Project 13 Enterprise model or similar collaborative frameworks.
• Broad civil‑engineering background covering RC slabs, earthworks, infrastructure, highways, water and rail.
• Successful delivery of civil projects valued between £20 million and £60 million.
• Current knowledge of NEC4 Option E contracts.
• Chartered Project Professional status or APM PMQ (or equivalent).
