Remote Civil Engineer – $80/hr Hourly Contract

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified civil engineer to work remotely on advanced engineering challenges. The role is an hourly contract offering $60‑$80 per hour, with flexible commitment of 10‑40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design original, complex engineering problems that require multi‑step reasoning and cross‑domain integration.
• Evaluate AI‑generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to physical constraints.
• Identify modeling errors, incorrect assumptions, logical gaps, or computational inaccuracies in AI outputs.
• Produce clear, well‑documented solutions and derivations using LaTeX formatting.
• Maintain high standards of technical rigor, precision, and conceptual clarity across all problem sets.

Required profile

• PhD, Master’s degree, or advanced competitive/olympiad‑level background in engineering.
• Strong experience in mechanical, electrical, civil, aerospace, chemical engineering, or closely related fields.
• Proven ability to design, solve, or evaluate complex analytical or design‑focused engineering problems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to verify internal consistency and correctness.
• Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in writing and formatting technical content using LaTeX.
