Configuration Controller

About the role

The Configuration Controller will sit at the heart of a high‑speed rail infrastructure programme, ensuring that every technical change is governed through a rigorous process. You will act as the central hub for Technical Change Requests and Technical Authority Communications, guiding them from initiation to board approval and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Register, check, coordinate and track Technical Change Requests across multiple contracts.
• Prepare comprehensive submission packs and weekly progress reports.
• Maintain work instructions and training material that support the change process.
• Provide hands‑on support to Configuration Managers during baseline updates and submissions.
• Engage daily with engineers, project teams and commercial managers to resolve blockers and keep stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a structured change‑control environment within a large, complex programme.
• Strong understanding of configuration management standards and document‑management practices.
• Ability to manage high‑volume data quickly and accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to engage across diverse technical and commercial teams.

What we offer

• Salary £55,000‑£60,000 per annum.
• Pension contribution of 12%.
• Hybrid working model (3 days in the office).
