Foreperson (Site Supervisor)

About the role

We are looking for a Foreperson to support the site management team on civil engineering projects in East Sussex. You will help manage site activities safely and profitably, ensuring programmes are met and quality standards are achieved in line with legislation and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the site management team in planning and executing daily site operations.
• Maintain health and safety standards while delivering projects on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation and client requirements.
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and the Octavius team.
• Promote Octavius’s reputation by delivering high‑quality work and adhering to company values.

Required profile

• Experience across groundworks, reinforced concrete structures, steelwork and building works.
• Reasonable level of IT proficiency.

Required skills

• SSSTS competence (SMSTS preferred or in progress).
• Valid CSCS card.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification where required.
